12 South Concert

12 SOUTH CONCERT SERIES FOLLOWS UP WILDLY SUCCESSFUL DEBUT

CONCERT IN SEVIER PARK WITH THE SECOND IN THE SERIES SEPTEMBER 6.

Local residents Shawn Byrne, Scott 76, Kari Kragness and Aron Wright will perform

from 5 to 9pm in the 12 South neighborhood's Sevier Park

By all accounts, the community concert in the park last Saturday, August 23rd

organized by Rumours Wine Bar partners Whitney Ferre and Christy Shuff was a

rollicking success.

Locally based pop rock act Brother Henry headlined a four band bill on a beautiful

evening while neighborhood hipsters and families picnicked and mingled on the slope

near the historic yellow Sevier mansion. Also on the bill were Connor Rand, Pat Walsh

and Anescia Collins.

Concert number two, on Saturday September 6, will feature the Americana folk rock of

neighborhood resident Shawn Byrne. The triple threat Byrne tours the globe as an in

demand lead guitarist, fronts his own group and writes hit songs including last year's

Americana award-winning "Ole Cook Pot" recorded by The Duhks.

Scott 76 is Scott Hylbert's new project that blends vintage 70s country rock with

contemporary pop often drawing comparisons to Wilco, Beck and the Jayhawks. His

band will include his brother Brian from IK BEN and the sibling harmonies featured in

their collective back catalog. Scott 76 appears on the heels of successful record

release parties at The Basement and Bluebird Cafe.

Kari Kragness will perform her sultry rhythm blues pop and Aron Wright, who Duff

McKagan from Guns n Roses says "has the voice of an angel" will add his indie-folk

element in a well-rounded lineup.

The series is supported by major sponsors Emma Email Marketing, Village Real Estate

and Rudy Title.
