Halloween Party Celebrates the Second Anniversary of Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts featuring music from Kristi Neumann, Tokyo Sauna and No Good Deed
Nashville, TN - October 9, 2008 - Tennessee Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (TNVLA) will celebrate the organization's two year anniversary with a Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, October 25th, 2008 at the Limelight (201 Woodland St.). There will be prizes for best costume and music from: East-Nashville singer-songwriter Kristi Neumann; Tokyo Sauna, featuring local attorneys Bob Sullivan (a TNVLA board member), John Griffin and David Cannon; and No Good Deed, a band of Nashville doctors.
Music starts at 8:00p.m. Suggested donation is $10, with all proceeds benefiting TNVLA. Tickets are available online at www.tnvla.org or at the door. Since opening in the Fall of 2006, TNVLA has helped low-income artists and nonprofit arts organizations with over 400 legal matters, generating an estimated $400,000 worth of legal services for the arts. This service is made possible by the volunteer time of over 110 lawyers from 35 local law firms. TNVLA is a nonprofit organization that provides pro bono legal services and education to low income artists of all disciplines and emerging arts organizations in the Nashville area. The first and only organization filling this need in Tennessee, TNVLA is based on the model of similar Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts organizations currently thriving across the country.
