Robert Johnson Birthday Celebration Scheduled for May 9, 2009

CRYSTAL SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI - The Robert Johnson Blues Foundation is proud to announce that it's annual Spring Festival honoring the birth of Robert Johnson will take place May 9, 2009 in Crystal Springs at the Chautauqua Park.

The unique event is the only event sanctioned by and benefitting the Robert Johnson Foundaiton, organized and run by the descendants of the legendary musician. An additional highlight of the festival will be the awarding of the 2009 Gibson - Robert Johnson Blues Foundation New Generation Award. This award recognizes the year's most promising young blues musician between the ages of 12-18.
